This serene sanctuary is filled with a thoughtfully curated selection of furniture, artwork and decorative objects. These carefully chosen items waited patiently in storage — in some cases, for over a decade. She called it her “cottage stash.”
On the screened porch, wicker and wool blankets are an invitation to candle-lit conversation, where guests and family come together in the evening’s gathering shadows. Inside, a precise palette of blues, whites and natural wood tones provides a canvas for Lindsay’s eclectic layering of antique, vintage and contemporary ingredients. The effect is one of quality and rustic refinement with a relaxed and welcoming vibe. The bedrooms boast summery schemes in soft linens, quilted cotton and preppy patterns. Natural materials celebrate the stone and sunlit skies of Canada’s Northern landscape with elemental nods to the windswept pines and the deep blue of the Great Lakes’ depths.
